I have always been captivated by European culture, fueling my desire to create a faux digital travel magazine that would encapsulate each unique city on my bucket list.
Delving into the culture of each city, I explored many color schemes and typography, seeking to convey their cultural diversity and sophistication. To achieve this, I created a palette comprising five colors, selected to embody the spirit of each location. Shades of blue, sage green, and black and white emerged as the elements that would best capture the desired essence. In terms of typography, I opted for "Ambroise Std Firmin (Bold)" for titles, "Contralto Medium (Black)" for headlines, and "Miller Display (Light and Light Italic)" for the body copy. These design elements harmonized to create an ambiance that exuded professionalism while retaining a sense of playful elegance, perfectly showcasing the European cities at hand.
Dedicating two pages to each city, I designed layouts that would accommodate important information without compromising aesthetic appeal. Drawing from Unsplash.com, I selected images showcasing famous landmarks and cultural dishes. To ensure credibility and authenticity, I sought reputable articles and blog posts from trusted sources, attributing each one accordingly in the columns provided.
In this digital travel magazine, I painted a portrait of Europe's captivating cities, igniting the wanderlust within every reader. With a combination of well-researched content, tasteful design choices, and a commitment to upholding the culture of these European cities, this magazine aims to transport you to the timeless landscapes and traditions of each city.
